Beige Outdoor Tiles

What grout to use on beige porcelain tiles?

When it comes to grouting buff and beige porcelain paving outdoor tiles in your garden there are two things that you need to consider. Firstly, do you want the colour of your grout to blend in with the colour of the slab? If so, then use a lighter grout such as a Limestone or Jasmine colour. Secondly do you wish to see a more contrasting grout line in between each paving slab? If this is the case, then you can opt for a dark grey or anthracite coloured grout to ensure that there is a contrast in colours between grout and paver.

Are porcelain pavers expensive to lay?

Porcelain pavers are now becoming very popular for patios and paths around homes in the UK. Contrary to what people think, there is only a small price increase in the installation between outdoor porcelain tiles and traditional flag stone pavers like sandstone and limestone.

The price increase tends to come from the detail and therefore time needed to cut the porcelain paving slabs. The best method for cutting 20mm porcelain is to use a large flatbed tile cutting machine that is installed with a large diamond tipped blade.

Although smaller handheld grinders and cut off saws can be used also if cutting curves for example. It is generally the increased labour cost in the cutting detail and machinery needed that increase the cost of the installation of porcelain paving versus sandstone.

Do porcelain paving slabs chip easily?

We have a comprehensive answer to the question ‘do porcelain pavers chip easily? If you buy quality materials that have been produced and packaged professionally then 20mm porcelain will not chip. Porcelain paving slabs are extremely strong and are baked in a tile kiln at 3,000 degrees ensuring that they are extremely hard wearing and stain resistant too. When installed properly on a full mortar bed outdoor porcelain tile do not chip easily.
