Porcelain Paving is hard wearing and very durable, with a huge range of benefits. Melton Stone outdoor porcelain paving is perfectly suited for patio and garden paving areas in the UK due to it been very durable and not slippery wet when.
Porcelain Paving is has a slip rating of R11 meaning it has a non-slip surface which is perfect for all families and children.
Our porcelain paving is full bodied and fully vitrified meaning it is a baked in a tile kiln over 3,000 degrees centigrade ensuring it is extremely hard wearing and will stand the test of time in all weather conditions. Due to the manufacturing process porcelain paving does not absorb any moisture meaning it will not go green with moss and algae unlike traditional paving stone options.
Outdoor porcelain paving tiles are strong and robust, they are stain and scratch resistant making them the perfect choice for any UK garden patio or garden space.
Is porcelain paving slippery when wet?
No, porcelain paving tiles are not slippery when wet.
Melton Stone only import and distribute the finest outdoor porcelain paving meaning they are full bodied and have an R11 Anti Slip texture on the surface.
Our outdoor porcelain paving is twice as thick as traditional tiles meaning they are extremely strong and suitable for use outdoor use.
Did you know at 20mm thick and R11 Anti slip texture Melton Stone Porcelain Paving can be used on driveways and vehicle areas.
Does outdoor porcelain paving need sealing?
No.
Porcelain paving does not need sealing, however can be sealed if you prefer the deeper richer colour similar to that when wet. At Melton Stone we do not recommend sealing outdoor porcelain paving as it is a non-porous 0.01% absorption rated material. Sealers work best on natural stone materials such as Indian Sandstone as it absorbs and engrains into the stone for longer lasting protection.
