Advantages of Porcelain Paving

Porcelain Paving, Porcelain Tiles

Porcelain Paving is one of the most popular options for patio renovation in the UK. This is largely due to the fact that a wide variety of styles can be achieved with them, from an ultra-modern look to a more traditional style.

What is Porcelain Paving Made From?

Porcelain Paving is created by baking a mixture of clay, sand and other minerals in a high-temperature kiln. This method creates an incredibly durable and non-porous material, otherwise known as Porcelain Paving. As it is an extremely controlled manufacturing process, the ability to create a wide variety of shades and textures is possible.

The Benefits of Porcelain Paving

There are many benefits to outdoor Porcelain Paving. One of them is that as the slabs are non-porous and have a very low absorption rate meaning they require very little maintenance. Unlike other materials, such as Sandstone, that does need sealing and extra maintenance due to it’s natural texture, appearance and absorption levels.

Another benefit is that the Porcelain garden slabs are very hard-wearing due to the manufacturing process. This makes it look newer for longer, again unlike other more natural materials that degrade more easily.

Furthermore, during the installation process, there is no sealant required as Porcelain Paving garden slabs are naturally stain resistant. Liquids and oils cannot penetrate the surface and can be easily wiped away. The manufacturing process also means that the size of the slabs is extremely consistent, making installation and customisation a more seamless process.
