Can composite fencing be installed on pre-existing concrete posts?
The individual composite fencing boards can be easily fitted and fixed to pre-existing concrete posts and brand new concrete posts. You will require our U-channel inserts to fix the boards to the posts.
Can I use a pressure washer on composite fencing?
Yes you can use a pressure washer on Ocean Deck Composite fencing but please be careful when using the high pressure and not get too close to the board.
Is composite fencing better than wood?
Ocean Deck offers a weatherproof composite fencing option that will stand the test of time, unlike traditional wood fencing you do not need to treat or paint composite fencing, it will just require general upkeep to keep it in perfect condition.
Can I Pressure Washer my Ocean Deck Decking?:
Pressure washers can be used carefully on Ocean Deck decking for cleaning and
rinsing. We would recommend following the below guidelines
- A PSI no greater than 2,000 should be used, with a 40 to 60 degree spread fan tip
- The head should always be kept around 300mm away from the surface
- Please note that using pressure washers may increase the chance of screw holes becoming more visible
- Direct, prolonged and intense contact could damage the surface of the boards
How will my Ocean Deck Decking look when installed?:
Ocean Deck Composite decking is designed and manufactured to mimic the beauty of real oak without the issues associated with natural products. Our boards are hand- coloured to have natural variation, though buying all the Ocean Deck decking you need at the same time should help to ensure that the colour is reasonably consistent. We recommend laying out and mixing the boards before installation to ensure the deck has the desired overall variance to showcase the product's character and individuality.
